In the end , he let me win 2-0.

R2 : Sided a lot of DD stuff. Came into good use and he lost.

Finals : VS Jess (AGAIN....Cosmo)

R1 : Starlight Road changed the game! After some chaining with Solemns , i won.
R2 : Gorz won this game! I think he will rant about it on his blog.

So in the end i got 1st and i took the Ghost Power Tool. Happy that my scrubbing streak has gone off and i successfully accomplished my own target of winning at least 1 prize per month!

The Fiery Mirror and The Fierce Swarm

Normally, when you play against a mirror match, the key to winning would be to predict your opponents moves and not let them figure out your moves. Through your understanding of how the specific archetype works, you would be able to avoid falling into situations which hurt you.

However, what if the mirror match is in the favor of you?

Although Lightlords have died down in hype around here a little due to the appearance of D.D. Eatos, nevertheless , there would be times whereby you would face one of such decks. Imagine you are also using a Lightlord deck....

Ancient God Flamvell would help remove key components in your opponents graveyard. It would mean removing Lumina targets/plaguespreader/gardna/anylightlord/vayu/sirocco/etc, while pumping up its attack.

Rekindling would allow you to swarm easily. It would mean a -1 trade for a Ancient God Flamvell + Stardust + a Helldog or something along that line.

Hedgehog is a good replacement for Archer, since if it is drawn, at least it has some use.

Sarcos are there to ensure that you get a Rekindling instead of milling them all away.

Another decklist with Sandman + GS02 thoughts

More GS02 thoughts :

1) Barbaros is a common rare. Hope to get 1 in my box.

2) AOJ Catastor is a COMMON!!! Which means that......I'm a happy man!

3) Gold Rare Fissure/DAD/Skill Drain are all good.

Thus, it would be good to buy 1 box to keep the staples and other stuff for your decks. You can even sell off the Common/Gold Barbaros so some despo kid who is trying to build DD Eatos.

3 Trishula's are not friendly at all.

Dimensional Eatos and D.D. Glads will practically kill the deck , due to it being heavily dependent on the Graveyard in order to do its smexy stunts.

That means Mirage/Necromancer/whatevercrapwhichisdependentonthegrave are DEAD!

Oh......and Necrovalley will murder the deck like a knife cutting through butter.

GS02 and The Shining Darkness

Thoughts on Black Feather Dragon :

1) Its art is cool. Like some sort of dark phoenix
2) Its stats are ok, beating Stardust and Mental Sphere to the ground
3) ITS EFFECT SUCKS! Did i mention it sucks? The only thing i see it as is an anti-burn card.

So....Conclusion?

Well. If it's cheap, i wouldn't mind 2-3 of them sitting in my album. It looks collectable. Also, i wouldn't mind putting 1 in my Extra Deck just for those Burn decks out here *cough...douchebag...cough*


Thoughts on new GS02 updates :

1) Gold Barbaros is always good.
2) Konami seems to be encouraging peeps to make Dimensional Eatos decks.

Well, the full list isn't out yet, but i have seen some spectulation lists, and i must say if it really is the way i think it will be, then its worth every penny i would pay for the packs.

Also, Gold Book of Moon is always a pleasure to have.

Conclusion : I think i will buy 1 box, provided i have the money to spare.

Recent new GB varients

Recently, i have seen 2 new Gladiator Beast builds which has sparked off my interest to modify the decklists to perfection.

They are :

1) Test Tiger-less GB (Replacing the Test Tigers with more Anti-Meta stuff like Raiou)

2) Necro GB (GB with teched Necrovalley and related stuff)


Number 1 seems to be ok, since it replaces the Test Tigers in order to keep the consistancy of the deck and prevent bad top decks.

While Number 2 is planned to wreck Zombies/Lightsworn/BW a little.

It would be interesting to see how people develop these 2 ideas. While i like the teched Necrovalley, i have no access to it.

Thus , i'm going to try out the Tigerless GB (or Toothless GB which i like to call it)

All i need is 2 Thunder King Rai-Oh.

As you can see , I have made the trap lineup more chainable and adaptive. As in, i can activate the Karma Cut/Hero Blast anytime i want , disrupting opponent's play. 3 Hero Blast is necessary to fuel Gemini Spark.

I will be getting my first payday soon. In preparation for that, i'm going to buy myself another model kit to congrats myself for working so long. I'll treat it as a reward for myself for all the hard work.

They wouldn't go pass $30 per. But i'll have to make a trip to Comics Connection or any model kit shop to purchase them.

Also, i need to go to Daiso to get myself some orange paint for the beam sabers. They always come in clear transparent, which is ugly. And i won't be opening them soon because i don't have a shelf to display them or a display case yet. Gotta save money for them soon.

But, that will be after GS02 and DT08.

I got back my results yesterday , but i was too upset with it to blog. So here it is :

First of all - The Rant

WTF......WHY MUST I GET 13 , WHICH IS 1 POINT MORE THAN THE STUPID COURSE WHICH I WANT TO TAKE AT THE POLY I WANT. CANNOT GO TO JC ALSO NO NEED TO GIVE ME THIS KIND OF UNEXPECTED RESULTS MAH! WTH LAH..................SIANZ.

Ok, i'm done.

Basically, i'm abit disappointed in myself , since i expected myself to get like a 10 or something. Regardless, i must go on with my life. After a night of consultation with my parents, i have shortlisted the 12 courses which i am interested in going to.

Now, the funny part.

Basically , whatever polytechnic i go to , i will be in the same school as a random friend. For example :

Nanyang Poly : NEUXCHARGE!
Republic Poly : Bryan-Sama!

with the exception of SP and TP.

So...I'm fine with the results i got and i can only hope that i can get into the course i want to in due time. 2 weeks more and the results will be out.

I didn't have time to go down and buy the finishing components to the SFB deck. Will do that on Saturday morning or something.

Scrubbing Continues!

Yes , i scrubbed again today with GB!

Seems that the GB's don't like their new master and so they boycott! REBEL!

I won the first 2 rounds , and lost the next 2 , causing me to die.

On the whole, its was ok , since it was the second time i used a GB deck, first being borrowed from Neuxcharge.

Oh, i also updated my Shining Finger Blade deck.

Sayonara! Gaijin Duelist!

Ok. I mean the blog, not Rauzes himself.

Its not as if he's quitting YGO or anything. Its just he's quit blogging on The Gaijin Duelist.

I decided to make this post after reading Neuxcharge and LCQ made theirs. Truth be told, my blog was really dead before 2009 because of my studies and me being extremely lazy and forgetful to even update it. It was only after starting to follow YGO blogs like The Gaijin Duelist and Duelingdays when i told myself that i wanted to share my experience and life in YGO with everyone else. Thus, i'm able to type this post out today.

Rau's blog was a source of creativity and information to me. Everyday, after school , i would come home and the first thing to do was to go to his blog to look for updates. All of his posts were meaningful and his ideas were very structured and successful.

You could say that his blog sparked the creativity within me. After getting exposed to his way of thinking and his ideas , people who know me would know that i started to play a lot of weird and creative decks like Junk and Debris , Volcanic Cat and other crazy ideas.

This blog of mine still has a long way to go to reach the status which The Gaijin Duelist had at its prime times. However , Rau and other's like Neuxcharge and Baha were always like goals which i desperately tried to reach. It's like i will never be able to reach the likes of them.

However , it is truly sad to see such a capable blogger/duelist go.

Well, i respect his decision and hope for his very best in the YGO world of Japan.

This is a rather long post considering that i'm actually typing this out at work =P

Anyways, if there are things which i have learnt from Rauzes, it would be to have fun with YGO and do not fear to try new ideas out. The sky's the limit to the potential of every single card in YGO, and i will adopt that perspective.

Small Update

Wanted to go out today. But , my fever + flu prevented me from doing so.

Being stuck at home sucks.

Especially when i only have 5 more days of freedom.

School Reopens!

Well, not for me.

I'm eagerly waiting for my O Level results which will be released NEXT WEEK.

Feels nice leaving work, while watching students in their uniforms boarding the bus.

Anyways, i have really lost much confidence after the last 2 weeks.

Will spend some time modifying my decks. Especially my Roid Machiners
