Mini Tournament Report @ Ani-Play (30/12)

Deck used: Insane Tech TGAA

Format: Swiss of 4 rounds. Cut to Top 8

Round 1: VS Sherwyn (Inzektors)
OXO

Game 1: Rush him with two Hyperions.
Game 2: We were in topdecking mode, but he topdecked a Damsel, so...
Game 3: Raioh and massive backrow controlled the game.

Round 2: VS Kitty (Dragons)
OO

Game 1: He had no Future Fusion, so things were in my favor a little. Managed to rush him after he Solemned my Hyperion and i used Call of the Haunted to bring it back for game.

Game 2: Topdecking 2 Hyperions is too strong.

Round 3: VS ??? (Machina Offering Geartown Gadgets)
OXO

Game 1: Controlled, MST'ing his Offering. Managed to win with Daigusto Phoenix + Gantetsu
Game 2: Second turn Offering rush me.
Game 3: Topdeck Dark Hole and PoD into Call of the Haunted for Hyperion.

Round 4: VS Alvin PUTRA (Hero Beat)

I gave him the win so both of us can go up. We shared, plus i wanted to avoid the full win curse.

3-1 (Proceed to Top 8)

Lookback at my 2011

Well, it's just a few days before the start of a brand new year! So this is the best time to sit down and start thinking about all the things that happened during this year. Everything, from achievements to laughter to losses, this the best time to reflect on all those things.

Well, here's the list of major events for 2011 and my thoughts on them.

Asia Qualifiers 2011

Deck used: Whirlwind BF

For this qualifier, we had to go through a tough fight of 7 swiss rounds. Adding to the fact that everyone woke up quite early for registration, you can be sure that all of us had a tough time. I only managed to get a subpar score of 4-3, winning all 3 matches again Six Samurais and losing 3 mirror matches. Needless to say, wasn't really proud of my performance, but i felt that i did my best and I was very comfortable with playing Whirlwind BF at that time.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Open Series #2 (Hosted by Cardmasters)

Deck used: Graveyard BF

I was really proud of myself when i actually won this event. Although this wasn't an official event, it was still considered quite a big one, with almost 50 participants and a PS3 up for grabs. Since this event was using the March Banlist (The asia qualifier was still using the old banlist), it was difficult for everyone to choose what type of decks to pilot for the fresh and new format. Regardless, I was able to climb all the way to the top and get myself my very first 1st place for a big event!

Singapore Worlds Qualifier 2011

Deck used: Six Samurai

Wasn't really planning on using Six Samurai, but I was playing with it for a few weeks by then and it was really growing on me. I was playing the Japanese build, which focused on control and making of use Royal Oppression. Sad to say, i scrubbed with a miserable score of 1-4 for the final standings.

Asia Plus Team Qualifier 2011

Deck used: Agent Angels

For this qualifier, there were actually 4 rounds of Pre-Qualifiers that allowed direct seeding into Top 8 for the main event. My team, consisting of Johann (awesomehazelnuts), Vishal (avengingknight) and myself took part and won the very first qualifier! So, we were directly brought forward to Top 8 for the main event. Sad to say, we lost on the actual day during Top 8 to the eventual runner-up for the entire event. Still, I believed that we tried our best and we can only hope for the better next year, if 2012 isn't the end of the world :)

Top Shop of Asia: Singapore Qualifers

Deck used: T.G. Agents

This, hands-down, had to be the biggest highlight of my entire year! It was a brand new official event whereby local card shops choose their representatives to fight it out to become Asia's number 1 card shop. I was representing Thousand Taste Trading and i managed to clinch 1st place after the dust cleared.

I had to face many strong opponents along the way, such as Vishal, my teammate for Asia Plus and Jeff, agreed by majority as the strongest player in Singapore. As a player, achievements were of much importance to me. Hence, being the very first official event i topped ever since i started playing competitively in 2009, it was really a huge accomplishment for me.

I then proceeded to travel to Taiwan for the Asia Plus Championships, together with William, Nian Jie, Daniel, Anthony and DS, accompanied by the distributor. Sad to say, I scrubbed badly at the main event. However, i had much fun and it was all very valuable experience.

So, that's the sum-up of my year for 2011. Here's hoping that 2012 will be an even better year for me! Especially since the Asia Championships 2012 will be held in Singapore!

Hope 2012 will be great for everyone! Happy New Year!

Tournament Report @ Ani-Play (26/12)

Deck used: Inzecters

Format: Swiss of 4 Rounds. Cut to Top 8.

Round 1: VS Vishal (WWBF)
OO

Game 1: Controlled with Raioh
Game 2: Imba hand with Damsel + Gigamantis for combowhoring.

Round 2: VS Poh Seng (GK)
XX

Game 1: Forgot how i died.
Game 2: Greedy and used Storm without opening Trap Stun first. Died to Sin Cyber End

Round 3: VS Hong Rui (Hero Beat) *SHARED*
XX

Game 1: Super Poly too strong.
Game 2: Same thing, except he's backrow killed me while i didn't draw any sided stuff.

Round 4: VS Alvin PUTRA (Hero Beat)
XOX

Game 1: Died to Raioh beat with my imba hand of 2 damsels, 2 pot and some unimportant stuff
Game 2: Rush him with Damsel and other good stuff
Game 3: Top deck Miracle + Honest sealed my fate.

Alvin gave me the win since i was sharing with Hong Rui, as i wanted to pull his score up.

Results : 1-3

Bad sidedeck choice of Trap Stun over Royal Decree costed me in this tournament. Besides that, I think most of my plays were correct. Still quite confused about some rulings regarding Inzecters so need to familiarize with them more if i wish to continue playing them.

Anyways, had 1 round of pack war after that and i won myself 4 out of 6 foils in the box lol.

Everytime i go to Kit's Shop, always go home with good stuff even though i scrub.

Mini Tournament Report @ Ani-Play (23/12)

Deck used: Inzecter

Format: Swiss of 3 Rounds. Cut to Top 8

Round 1: VS Banana (Dark World)
OO

Game 1: Raioh controlled before i used Damsel + Gigamantis to rush him.
Game 2: Raioh + Dimensional Fissure too strong!!

Round 2: VS Sherwyn (Zombie Plant)
XOX

Game 1: Ate Trishula + other good stuff.
Game 2: Rush him with Damsel + Gigamantis + Heart of Clear Water
Game 3: Slatemate until he removed all 3 Hornets with Chain D.

Round 3: VS Sunny (Six Samurai)
XOX

Game 1: Shien + Kizan + Mass backrow. Couldn't do anything, not to mention eating 1x Tori
Game 2: Slowly grinded with Damsel and Centipede.
Game 3: Side deck error of not puting in Trap Stun costed me the game.

Result: 1-2 (12th/20)

Got a lucky draw pack of PTDN and pulled Dark Armed. Proceeded to get some good stuff from others. Looks like the Top Shop win really used up all the luck i had for the entire year, lololol.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all readers!!!

Thank you for all of your continual support (even though this blog is dead most of the time)

Reflection after Asia Plus

Sorry that there will not be any blog post about my trip to Taiwan, since DS has already uploaded the whole story, lol.

Basically, it was a really good experience for me, meeting players from all parts of Asia. I felt kind of bad for scrubbing so badly during my event, since i was pretty confident of myself to get into at least Top 4. Nevertheless, I had a lot of fun during this trip, almost like the holiday which i deserved from all the school work and exams i had :)

This just made me more fired up for the next coming event, which is Asia 2012. So for now, its going to be schoolwork and more locals.

Off to Asia Plus tomorrow!

Typing this post out before i head out to Changi Airport to ton all the way until 5am, lol.

Pretty much settled on the decks that i will be winning for both the "Challenge the Champ" section and the actual tournament. Props to Andrew and Lauren for knocking some sense into me.

It's going to be one heck of a experience for me, since its my first time representing Singapore for such a event. I'll try to post updates on each day (The whole trip is 4 days), provided that there is Wifi available at the hotel (Which there should be).

Overall, I'm pretty stressed out at the moment, thinking of all the tough opponents i'll be facing at Taiwan, especially Sam :(

Thanks to all who wished me good luck! I'll try my best to bring the trophy back to Singapore!

That's all for now!

Signing off (Going to Changi Airport..)

Saturday, December 10, 2011

5 more days to Taiwan!

Very short post here, since i'm preparing for exams tomorrow.

Sooooo excited, yet soooo stressed at the same time.

I'll try to keep updating about the events and stuff happening there (If there is Wifi)

Decks i'm expecting:

- Inzecter
- Agents
- DW
- Cosmos Ragia

That's all for now. I'll get another post up once my exams are done :)

JCube Tournament Report (3/12)

Deck used: TG Agent (Anti-Inzecter)

Format: 4 round swiss. Cut to Top 8

Round 1: David (Infernity)
XOO

Game 1: Ate all the Infernity stunts and just died.
Game 2: Veiler and friends helped to stall while i slowly beat him down.
Game 3: Time was called, with my LP higher. So i just made 2 Gantetsu and he scooped.

Round 2: Jess (Agent Angel)
XOO

Game 1: OTK failed and died to Hyperion + more stuff.
Game 2: Trishula + Hyperion + friends OTK.
Game 3: Leeching the Light for the win!

Round 3: Mango (Inzecter Wind-Up)
XOO

Game 1: Died to all the Inzecter + DAD
Game 2: Massive hatred against Inzecters.
Game 3: Control with double Warning + Chain Disappearance. Kycoo + 2 ball beatdown for game

Round 4: Akira (Inzecter)
OO

Game 1: Veil-ed his Summon Priest. Then Trishula + Hyperion and friends appeared!
Game 2: Almost the same thing as Game 1

4-0 (1st in Swiss. Proceed to Top 8)

Top 8: Ying Jun (TG Agents)
OXX

Game 1: Rushed him with Trishula and Venus.
Game 2: He rush me back.
Game 3: Controlled early game, but died to Core Destroyer + Catastor. 100% Despair.

Bottom 4: Akira (Inzecter)
XOO

Game 1: No agents. Keep stalling with TG's but soon lost.
Game 2: Veil-ed his Priest 2 times, resulting in alot of advantage.
Game 3: Beatdown with Warwolf, Gantetsu and Striker, since his backrow were all not useful in that situation.

Shared with Vishal later on.

Result : 5th/6th (Starter Deck 2011)

Note to self: Never challenge the Full Win Curse ever again...

Have to admit that the new build i'm playing is really good against Inzecter, was just eating them here and there. Quite satisfied with today's performance, although i didn't win the Lavalval Chain..

Oh well, time to look forward to Taiwan, since i can't go locals next week due to exams...

Game 3: Was in a standstill, until i topdraw a Hyperion...

Round 2: Jeryl (Dark World)

Game 1: First turn Gachi and Hyperion following = Grapha loop useless.
Game 2: Drag + Card Destruction + more delicious stuff...
Game 3: He got bad hand, so i just slowly poke for game.

Round 3: Wei Ann (TG Agents)
XX

Game 1: He Tori me, then it went downhill from there.

Asia Plus Tournament Report

First of all, grats to William's team (Nian Jie, Daniel and William) for winning!

My team scrubbed straight away at Top 8...

Everyone was using the same thing, except Vishal was using Evols.

Just died to Royal Tribute by some guy....

Oh well...next Saturday win Top Shop Singapore Qualifier can alr :D

Asia Plus Pre-Qualifer (AMK) Report

Entered with Vishal and Johann.

Team Chieflion:

Leader: Johann (Nordic Dark World)
Member A: Vishal (Whirlwind BF)
Member B: Me (Agent Angel)

I have no idea what are the team names of all of my opponents, so i'll just write down the members instead :D

Round 1:

Kenneth (Infernity) VS Johann - (Win)

Yi Jie (Agent Angel) VS Vishal - (Lose)

Soon Hai (Machina Gadget) VS Me - (Win)

Personal score: XOO

Game 1: Lost to Hope + Gadget spam
Game 2: Trap Dustshoot + Pulling the Rug allowed me to counter his stuff
Game 3: Seven Tools + MST gave me the chance to do my combos.

Round 2:

Wee Min (DW) VS Johann - (Win)

Wesley (Junk Doppel) VS Vishal - (Discontinued)

Poh Seng (Gravekeepers) VS Me - (Win)

Personal Score: OO

Game 1: Had some debates over a ruling, with the judge passing the wrong judgment (I don't blame him, since it was kind of confusing), leaving me guilty for the whole game. Regardless, manage to beat down with Venus + stuff.

Game 2: Stalled awhile since he set 5 first turn. Summoned Christia and Heavy Storm'ed, revealing all useless spells. Venus beat him down after that.

Finals:

Potato (Lightlords) VS Johann - (Win)

Guan Ji (Machina Gadget) VS Vishal - (Lose)

Cassandra (WWBF) VS Me - (Win)

Personal Score: OO

Game 1: MVP is really Tragoedia. Controlled the game with it being so huge. She made Scrap Dragon to clear my Tragoedia, but i had another in my hand. I discarded Christia to take Scrap Dragon next turn for game.

Game 2: Early Christia controlled the game, even though she had Light Imprisoning Mirror. Think she made a mistake not clearing my Christia and i top-deck Earth to kill her next turn.

Results : 1st!

And so, we got into Top 8 for Asia Plus :D

Hope we can win all the way to Taiwan!!

Tourney Report @ Jcube (8/10/11)

Deck used: T.G Agents

Format: Swiss of 4 Rounds. Cut to Top 8.

Round 1: VS Jeff (Hero Beat)
OXO

Game 1: Top-decked Hyperion gave me the win.
Game 2: Karma for top-decking Hyperion = Giving me 3 Hyperions with no Earth/Venus
Game 3: Steady beatdown with stuff and Smashing Ground clearing his Raioh.

Round 2: VS Yew Loong (Gravekeeper Light Undead)
OXO

Game 1: He took my Gantetsu with Creature Swap, but i still won with Hyperion and TG's
Game 2: Remember a Goku En blowing up in my face for game.
Game 3: Leeching the Light on my field of Venus + 3 Shine Ball beatdown.

Round 3: VS Ball-Snow (Agent Angel)
XOX

Game 1: An early Trishula gave him the advantage, with multiple Warnings to kill me off.
Game 2: Forgot how i won.
Game 3: Managed to clear his field of Black Rose + Christia with Shine Ball + Leeching the Light + Smashing Ground, but he suicided his Orange Light into my ball to get 4 angels in the grave again.

Round 4: VS Shifu (Junk Doppel)
XX

Game 1: Both of us stalled awhile. Made a misplay with Mind Crush and lost to BLS + Sorc
Game 2: Debunk-ed his Sangan but still lost to BLS.

Standing: 2-2 (9th)

Suits me right for playing some random side deck (Debunk, Smashing Ground, etc). Didn't have the time to fully make a proper side. First time playing this deck without any play testing and it felt great!

Still cannot decided which is better : Agent Angel or T.G Agent, since once Christia is dropped, it pretty hard for me to win unless i got Creature Swap or Dark Hole. Guess today wasn't my day, as usual...

Hope to get more results from my new deck :D

Testing so far

Just a short update on my progress into the start of the new format.

Basically, i scrubbed on Tuesday. Deck was giving me a really hard time with all the boss monsters clogged in hand (1 BLS, 1 DAD, 2 Grapha).

Looks like its back to the drawing board for me. Next tournament should be the final SG Showdown Qualifier this Sunday. The ban list used would still be the March one, so everyone should still be familiar with all the stuff which will happen there.

I'll post up the deck list once i finalize it and get some results. Until then, its testing, testing and more testing.

Monday, August 29, 2011

Start of the new format

Today is the first local tournament which will be using the September 1st banlist.

Sad to say that I wasn't able to make it there today. However, this first week of locals would be a good way to look at how people will cope with the new format and look at the deck choices and techs people would be taking up. What's so good about the start of the new format is that there is no massive net-decking yet (unless you're net-decking from Shriek). Thus, this allows a short-lived period whereby people can make use of creativity and predicting what the meta would be.

I myself will head down to a local tournament tomorrow to test new my new Dark World deck for the September format. Hope that the main deck choices plus the side deck techs will be able to give me some results and a good head start in the new format!

Watch out for a tournament report tomorrow!

Update before Exams

Making a short post.

Gonna MIA for the next week due to examinations, not that I have been updating this blog faithfully. Most probably no tournament reports unless i find some extra time to get down to a local tournament nearby.

Btw, Won 1st at Asia Qualifier Ranking Tournament today. Used Dark World again. Hope it will bring me some results at the end of this format and the start of next format.

Asian Championship Qualifier @ Jurong East

Format: Single Elimination
Deck used: Dark World

Round 1: BYE

Round 2: VS Irfan (Xyz Starter Deck)
OO

Game 1: Beat him down with early game double Grapha with Warning prevented Utopia from coming out.

Game 2: Same thing as Game 1.

Round 3: VS Jeremy (TG Tengu)
XOX

Game 1: Close match, but forgot how i lost.
Game 2: Deck Devastation Virus destroyed his hand, together with double Grapha beatdown.
Game 3: Tengu gave him too much advantage.

Conclusion: Top 4. (No prize cause i only got 1 win.)

SG Showdown Qualifier @ Jurong East

Format: 3 Round Swiss. Cut to Top 8.
Deck used: Dark World

Round 1: VS Eric (Gladiator Beast)
OO

Game 1: Double Grapha beatdown.
Game 2: Used EEV to destroy all his traps. Following that up with Grapha beatdown.

Round 2: VS Jeff (Debris Junkdo)
OO

Game 1: Forgot how i won
Game 2: Deck Devastation Virus ftw.

Round 3: VS Rui Feng (Twilight BF)
OXO

Game 1: Double DW Lightning cleared his field and controlled with Grapha and backrow.
Game 2: Bora + Oppression....
Game 3: Damudo + Skillless Grapha too strong.

Top 8: VS Eric (Gladiator Beast)
OXX

Game 1 : Once again, skillless Grapha too strong, beat all his GB's over.
Game 2: Forgot how i lost.
Game 3: 2 Holy Light....2 D.D. Crow...all 3 Grapha's RFG... no future at all.

Conclusion: Top 8 (Revise Dragon sleeves)

Challenge Failed

Scrubbed like a dog. Miserable record of 1-4

Whole day it was 没有人门 (Got Gate, no people), or some bloody stupid hand of 2 Kizan, 2 BTH again Debris Dandy.

Don't think i will do a detailed report since there isn't anything worth mentioning, except for some cheap trades i got.

But in the end, no amount of trade will prevent my $20+ from flying away... =_=

Nationals is tomorrow!

That's right, the big day is tomorrow!

Here's wishing every reader out there good luck and have fun tomorrow!

Hope i will be able to keep my end of the bargain and get into Top 4!

Road to Nationals : Beginning

Finally found sometime off from school to start putting down my thoughts for the Singapore Nationals, which will be this Sunday.

Today, I will be talking about some of the decks which i THINK will be widely played during our nationals. These are just my thoughts and my point of view, so no hatred please! In no particular order:

- BF (Whirlwind/Graveyard)
- Agent Angels
- Machina Gadget
- Dandy (Junk Doppel/Debris Dandy)

I saw lots of Machina Gadgets during the 4 qualifiers. Maybe because of the single elimination, Machina Gadgets shined as the most consistent deck out of the other choices. Thus, i believe it will definitely make another appearance in the nationals.

Agent Angel would be the current rising star, having a fantastic showing at the Malaysian Nationals. The release of Gachi Gachi Gantetsu and other factors has led to an increase in popularity for this deck. I'll expect a good number of people entering nationals with this.

BF variants will always be in the format, proving themselves as they have survived many formats(and many nerfs). Especially Graveyard BF, which won 2 out of the 4 qualifiers.

Dandy variants will definitely appear at the nationals. However, with out Librarian and Shooting Quasar, i think most of them would lean towards Debris Dandy rather than being pure Junk Doppel.

That's all i have for today! Stay tuned tomorrow if i can think of some stuff to post

The Challenge

So i was in an MSN conversation with my school friends last night, doing what teenage boys can do, which was to DotA. Along the way of the conversation (we were waiting for the rest of the guys), some of my classmates started talking about YGO, cause they know i play it. Here's how it goes:

*Disclaimer: All vulgarities were removed and replaced for the sake of viewers*

--------------------------------------------------------------

Friend A: "Eh, June already leh...so fast holi going over le..."
Friend B: "Ya loh."
Me: "Ok lah, still got 1 week + mah."
Friend B: "Eh Bx, i thought ur ygo nationals coming up or something?"
Friend B: "I rmb last time all the big big competitions in june de."
Me: "Ya, it's in early July"
Friend A: "bx YGO man siol.."
Me: "..."
Friend A: "Srsly, you so noob, how to win? No point joining."
Friend B: "LOL"
Friend A: "How about this? If you can get into the semi-finals or whatever you guys call it, i'll treat you to lunch."
Me: "Wah, dun act lah"
Friend A: "I serious. I bring you go Aston's eat or something."
Friend B: "Eh, dun play play leh. This one not funny sia."
Friend A: "Aiya, lunch only, so cheap."
Friend A: "But if you nvr get in, must treat me lunch."
Friend B: "GG. He cfm no money."
Me: "LOL, what no money?"

-------------------------------------------------------------------

After that, i thought about it a little, and all i could say was...

Get into Top 4
Let's do it!

Bukit Batok Top 16 World Qualifer Report

Deck used: Six Samurai

Format: Single Elimination

Round 1: VS Stark (Scrap Gladiators)
OO

Game 1: First turn Shien, special summoned Kizan and set DEST and Oppression and ended. He set 1 monster and ended, which ate my next turn Trishula and all my monster beat.

Game 2: We exchanged afew blows, while i managed to defeat both of his Scrap Dragons, leaving my field with a single Yaichi and Grandmaster. He attempted to regain control by using Bestiari to attack my Yaichi, but i let my Yaichi drink Forbidden Chalice and he scooped.

Round 2: VS Rong Jie (Agent Angel)
OXO

Game 1: He drew no monsters, and i used Hand and stuff to beat him down.
Game 2: Trunade, followed by Hyperion , Christia and Trishula :(
Game 3: Topdecking mode, which got me a Hand to win.

Round 3: VS William (Grave BF)
XX

Game 1: He OTKed me.
Game 2: Beat me down with Kinetic and Gozen. Not friendly AT ALL :(

Result : Top 8.

Shop owner was kind enough to give out WOW deckboxes for the 4 who lost in Top 8. So i'm ok, since i bought sleeves with the $10 required to purchase stuff with.

The online registration for World Qualifiers will begin on 22th. As there are only 64 slots available, i've got just about 3 days to finish up on modding my deck and ensure myself a slot in a chance to represent Singapore :D

Since its only 64 people, cutting to Top 12, it'll be slightly easier compared to last year's Qualifier whereby it was 64, cut to Top 8.

Gotta find out just what to fill up the last remaining space in my sidedeck and what tech should i play in my main.

That's all for today!

Congrats to William for advancing to Top 16!

Dark World fun!

Tried out Dark Worlds today.

Damm fun!

Especially in mirror matches.

Khatib Singapore Top 16 WCQ Report

Wanted to make this a detailed one, but i'm tired from my friend's party, and i have a test tomorrow, so I'm gonna make this a quick one.

Promise i will do a detailed one for the next qualifier or the main event to make the post actually interesting to read :D

Deck used: GB

Format: Single Elimination

Round 1 : BYE

Round 2: VS Milton (Graveyard BF)
XOO

Game 1: Tired to multiple Arms Wings with no outs.
Game 2: Steadily grind for advantage with my GB's together with Holy Light.
Game 3: Same as Game 2

Round 3: VS Kenneth (Infernities)
XX

Game 1: He does all the gay Infernity stunts to gain domination over the field.
Game 2: Struggled with Holy Light, but Infernity Break plus Empty Space Sea Dragon something is too strong.

Conclusion: DIED.

Aftermath: So i think i've got the right ideas for fill in the last few uncertain slots in my side deck and my main deck now. Maybe going to skip the Lorong Ah Soo qualifier and wait for the final one or just try my luck at the main event. Tuned my deck to fight better against Six Sam today but didn't meet any at all...instead i had to meet Infernities, which i can only side my stuff for Graveyard BF in to fight it again. Most probably going to go back to the drawing board and decide on how to make my deck better in time for the event.

CONFIDENCE!

Dueling Network

Since everyone is posting about this, i decided to make a short post about it.

Since i never played any self-touch decks, all my decks on Dueling Network are self-touching!

Cloudian Quasar ftw.

Look out for me!

Cardmaster Tournament Report (14/5)

Deck used : Gravekeepers (Tried out with Wonder Wand)

Post that I promised

That's right, finally found time to do a quick post.

So, what have YGO stuff have i been doing for the past few weeks? Mainly, i've been joining weekly tournaments as much as i can with my current deck, which is Grave BF. It proves to be a really strong deck, reflecting the number of tops it has currently in Japan. Still, it died to Gravekeepers and other decks like Frog Monarchs.

So Grave BF is starting to get a little boring for me, thus i'm trying out some other decks which are more combo-oriented. One of them was Psychic Plant. But i didn't really like that either, having no access to stuff like Dandylion and Lonefire. Then i tried out a deck which i've always wanted to try: Karakuri Machina

Unlike most people whom play the Plant Varient (KMP), i'm currently trying out what the TCG had been playing awhile before converting to the Plant version, which is simply using a mini Psychic Engine of Emergency Teleport + Mind Master + some other Psychic. It basically means i have 1 more One for One which makes this version a little more focused on the Double/Triple Bureido stunts. Liking what i've experienced, i'll most probably be forming this deck to play whenever i'm tired of my main. Haha :D

Finally, to end off this post, i'll talk about the latest news on the Dark World SD.

Artwork for the main monster is freaking cool! So is it's effect. It's pretty much going to be another Machina/Dragunity/Agent Structure Deck, where 3 of them would make the whole deck playable. Looking forward to it!

No report this week

Spending some time with friends before school reopens next week.

So there won't be any tournament report this week. But i'll find some spare time tomorrow or Sunday to bring an article about....something.

Realized that my blog is kinda dying already, only having tournament reports and all.

Another reason for the really lack of posts even though its my holidays now is due to this:

Yes, i caught the Pokemon fever too. Spending lots of time playing this. Sad to say i'm only playing this on a DS Emulator :D No money buy NDS... :(

That's all for today.

Stay tuned!

Big Question

No idea what to play in this new format.

Karakuri Machina Plant, Hero Beat, Gravekeepers, Graveyard BF, etc etc.

Sooooo many choices, yet i can't think of what i should play....

Luckily i'm working part-time now, so i can only join tourneys every now and then.

KMP is like the new Six Sam.

Gravekeeper and Hero Beat are the beatdown/irritating decks.

Finally, Graveyard BF is....Graveyard BF.

Anyone can tell me what to play?
